When we think of engagements, what immediately comes to mind is a romantic scenario where two people put their heart and souls into expressing their feelings for each other, and a promise to share those feelings together until death does them part. February is considered the month of love, and is a very popular time for couples to officially begin building a union together.
The month of love is now coming to an end, and along with it is Classic Creations special YOPO promotion. The Toronto jewellers used the ‘You Only Propose Once’ as encouragement for newly engaged couples to submit photos or videos of their proposals for the whole world to see on the YOPO Instagram page. Dozens of couples took to the promotion, eager to let the world see their happiness and excitement to plan a lifelong journey together.
One of the most notable couples is Peter Giraudel and Mandi Andrews, who submitted a video of their special engagement. Peter had spent weeks planning the proposal, and chose to keep Mandi completely clueless about his plans by enlisting her family to throw her off the trail. This led to a ruse where Mandi was invited by her sister down to the Bahamas for what she thought was a special vacation as sisters. It was only after arriving in her hotel suite that Mandi realized her life was about to change forever.
Peter was waiting inside the hotel suite, having tricked Mandi into thinking he was flying to New York on business. When his bride-to-be arrived at the hotel, he had the diamond engagement ring waiting on the bed, refusing to delay their engagement any longer. Peter got down on one knee, and before he could finish asking the question, Mandi had already answered yes.
As the YOPO promotion comes to an end, congratulations are in order for the happy couple who ensured their proposal will serve as a memory to last a lifetime. Happily ever after is out there for people – and the right person can turn those special dreams into a real life fairytale.
I’ve always been a super active person, and it when it came to my wedding, I figured I would shed the extra pounds away. I didn’t need to loose a lot, but shedding 10lbs would have been great. I struggled with this and with all the events leading up to the wedding (dinners, parties ect..) I pretty much stayed the same. I remember buying a new bathing suite for the honeymoon and I wouldn’t even go near it when we got there.
Fast forward a year later when I told myself enough was enough. I need to shed 15lbs for real. So after hearing a few things about Weight watchers, I decided to join WeightWatchers.ca. This truly is a great weight loss for brides.
By simply tracking my daily food intake, I was easily able to shed a solid 10lbs. Of course I have my good days and bad one, and i’ll ignore the program for a month… but it really works. In January of 2013, I traveled to Mexico for a week with my husband, and LIVED in that bikini that was a big “no-no” a year earlier in Hawaii. It just goes to show, it works and it’s a perfect weight loss for brides program!
(although it’s not “the” bikini, showing myself off in a bikini to you guys really isn’t my thing… but i’m proving how much better I feel since I started the program).
Weight Watchers works if you follow up and understand it’s a lifestyle, not a diet! I track my daily progress on my iPhone. It’s simple and efficient!

We love this nature inspired engagement session in Halton Hills. Captured by Kaianne Photography, here’s a little more about the couple:
Adam and I met when we were working for neighbouring Community Living organizations in Niagara. We’ve been best friends ever since and that was in 2005! We’ve been a couple for the last two and a half years. We love camping, cottaging, fishing.. but we’re mostly homebodies! We enjoy just staying in! We work together now in the same school, which is nice. I chose the location for the shoot, Adam had never been there, but I wanted so
Location: Limehouse conservation area , Halton Hills, Ontario

Last week, one of my current favourite TV Couples, Ben and Leslie – from Parks and Recreation, got married. It was beautiful and perfectly them, so I thought why not compile some of my favourite TV moments and share them with you!
In no particular order, here are the best TV Weddings of All Time
Charlotte and Harry from Sex and the City
It was the wedding were everything wasn’t so perfect and Charlotte’s wedding went from Jewish law to Murphy’s Law. Carrie stepped in and said, “you already had the perfect wedding and the marriage not so perfect…. the worse the wedding the better the marriage”
Here is the best moments:
Pam and Jim from the Office
The Office is one of best comedies of the last 10 years. When Jim and Pam from the Office got engaged, it was perfect and their wedding was a little bit hilarious as well as touching. Having a private ceremony with just them on the Maid of the Mist followed by a silly wedding with the entire cast was just perfect. It made me tear a bit as it was simply beautiful.
Monica and Chandler from Friends
In this double episode it goes from wrong the right and Joey marrying the couple in an old time war uniform as he recently got a part in a movie. The vows are touching and moments are amazing and we find out Rachel is pregnant. It’s certainly a memorable episode and one of my most favourite Friends Moments.
Liz and Chris from 30 Rock
It was supposed to be a wedding just so that they would be married and could adopt children. Liz showed up to city hall in a hoodie and jeans. Slowly but surely she realized he wanted it to be a bit more special and started to take it a bit more seriously. With a last minute wedding, the details were very last minute. A princess Leia dress was her wedding gown, Chris would a gold grill in his mouth instead of wearing a wedding ring, and the decor was a whatever their friends could find. It was so wacky and awkward but it was the perfect 30 Rock wedding!
Trying to get married at that last moment, Ben and Leslie g0t married at their office in the Parks and Recreation department of Pawnee. Leslie’s dress was not ready so Anne, her best friend, completed the dress with articles and clippings that represented the best moments in Leslie’s life. Getting rings, a marriage license and finalizing all the major details was getting complicated but all their friends were able to pull through. Even a little arrest couldn’t delay this wedding as Leslie was determined to get married that day. It was such a sweet episode with so many touching moments.
These are my top wedding TV moments, what are yours?
