Mad Men Inspired Wedding – Vintage Wedding

Mad Men is probably my favourite television show, and a Mad Men inspired wedding shoot is up there with some of my most favourite things too. I love the idea of a Mad Men Inpspired Wedding shoot and Photographer Randi Marie Photography did a great job!
They set out to produce a one of a kind styled photo shoot that would mirror the 1950′s, a timeless era, alongside Mad Men-esque Modern theme.

We think it SCREAMS amazing – but we’ll let you be the final judge!

Alternative Bridal Looks

When photorapher Stefanie Cepeda sent us this alternative bridal looks shoot, we were really happy to share it with you. Sefanie tells us “I’d grown a bit tired of “bridal” accessories always looking the same and wanted to show that bridal fashion can be whatever you want it to be. Instead of the traditional white flowers, pearls & crystals, I wanted to show accessories that reflect a bride’s own personality!”

Not every bride is a princess, and not every bride is a rocker, there is a style and look for every single bride and what works for one doesn’t always work for the other.

Stefanie tells us more about the shoot “Ayla (a fabulous stylist) and I took one simple dress and accessorized it 4 different ways using the traditional saying “Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.” We put a little twist on it…“Something bold” is our edgy look for the bride who feels more comfortable stomping around in some great black boots. “Something new” is for the bride who loves the city and wants to have a modern style. “Something borrowed” is for a bride that loves everything vintage. And“something blue” proves that not everything has to be white in your outfit to still capture that traditional, sweet bridal look.”

We absolutely love it and are so happy to share it with you guys!

Candy Themed Wedding

So the goal of my blog is to share beautiful Canadian Inspiration with you. Although this particular wedding isn’t a Canadian one, I am sure it will inspire you. This Candy Themed Wedding – or Love is Sweet Wedding, is amazing. So much Candy, so much love, so much deliciousness - I apologize in advance if you run to the candy store and buy a a bucket of sweets today!

The couple, Allison and Sean, were married at Balboa Island. Though it was January, it was a perfect sunny day (being in Orange County, Calif., what other weather would anyone expect?!?) and the couple’s overall theme was “Love is Sweet.” The bride’s lifelong friends and neighborhood families chipped in to brainstorm and execute all the fun, original details with the dessert table, centerpieces and beyond. It was heartwarming to watch all the families from her neighborhood show up to the venue early to pull everything together and I really admired the creativity present in all the scenic details.

Now what caught my attention was the details involving candy. There was so much of it and the colour added to this beautifully themed wedding

I LOVE this “Dots” Inspired Cake!

Rustic Romance – Wedding at Cheshire Lodge Quebec

The one thing I just love about being a Wedding Blogger is the variety of weddings we see. From lavish affairs to simple and pure, we really know there is something for everyone and every kind of couple.  Lani and Rob had their Wedding at Cheshire Lodge, near Montreal. Lani is Australian, Rob is Canadian and they decide to gather their family at Cheshire Lodge to celebrate their wedding. The day was a perfect mix of Australian and Canadian traditions, and even if it was crazy cold outside, the day was filled with love, laughter, friendship and happiness.

Thank you to Emilie Iggiotti Photography for this wonderful wedding submission.  We hear the Cheshire Lodge is just wonderful!
