Looking for some sweet wedding inspiration? This styled Parisian tea party inspired wedding shoot captured by Erin Bowley and Andrew Gilbert from Photographik should certainly fulfill your cravings! The shoot took place in a downtown Calgary urban loft with 100 year old hardwood floors and painted white brick walls.
Everyone working on the shoot wanted to create an intimate atmosphere for an elopement or boutique style wedding. They also wanted to create décor and a table scape that any bride could feasibly do herself with farmers market vintage finds and heirloom pieces passed down from a grandparent or member of her family.
They paired rustic reclaimed and refinished vintage furniture with a silver tea service passed down from the designer’s grandmother and mis-matching floral chinaware they found in a local farmer’s market. They opted for an understated and casual table scape of light and colourful fruits, cheeses and charcuterie. The gowns were hand selected to suit a barefoot bride and the florals spoke to an ivory, pink and purple colour scheme.
I hope you enjoy this style shoot as much as I do!
